Craig Patrick talks about The 1980 USA Men's Miracle on Ice Team
Craig Patrick comes from a long line of hockey royalty in the United States.
Craig was an NHL player and also represented his country in the 1976 Canada Cup. After retiring from pro hockey, Craig was the Assistant Coach and Assistant General Manager with the 1980 Olympic men's hockey team for the Lake Placid Olympic Games. The U.S. went on to win the Gold Medal defeating the Soviet Union in the playoff round in what has been called the greatest upset in sport's history, dubbed The Miracle on Ice.
Craig went on to coach in the NHL before becoming a General Manager in Pittsburgh and winning 2 Stanley Cups.
Happy to have Craig Patrick on Chuck's World of Infinite Mojo to talk about The Miracle on Ice story, which is still ranked as the greatest upset in the history of sports.
